Lower School Sport
By using P.E. specialists from the youngest age, and encouraging active play and movement, good co-ordination and sporting foundations start early. This good work continues in the Junior School as the girls are introduced to elements of team sports and competitive games.
Activities in the Junior College and Lower Seniors include netball, hockey, cross country running, athletics, cricket, soccer, gymnastics, dance, swimming, tennis and rounders. ‘Taster’ sessions are also arranged in a number of other sports.
Swimming is especially important for our youngest pupils and Infants and Juniors work through a programme of water and swimming skills to make them confident swimmers.
