Charity & Community Service
Charity and community service events are an integral part of life at Blanchelande College. We are proud of the contribution that our pupils make to a wide range of events that are organised at House, year group and the whole school level. We welcome representatives from a range of charities each year to contribute to our assembly programme and to attend different events that are organised. Our hope is that, through their exposure to a range of activities and causes, our pupils will develop a sense of the type and scale of need that exists in local, national and international settings.
The school is committed to fund-raising especially for our nominated charities of CAFOD, Action Aid, and Les Bourgs Hospice. Many original and entertaining events are run by the pupils in support of these and other charities.
We are also about to launch a Blanchelande Community Service programme that will allow our pupils and staff to reach out to those who are vulnerable in the local community. We will strive to build a network of love and support and which being a Christian Community, is modelled on the Gospel of Christ, who sought out and served those in need.
