Blanchelande artist wins Art for Guernsey scholarship

Star art student Hemu Khankashi was today the joint recipient of the Art for Guernsey Scholarship Award (pictured below with Lieutenant Governor, Sir Ian Corder).

Hemu, one of the finalists in the Sovereign Art Foundation School Art Prize, was identified as an artist of truly outstanding potential. The award gives her two weeks at the Royal Drawing School (RDS) in London to further hone her skills, build her portfolio and experience art school first hand. Many congratulations to Hemu and her teacher Mrs Lee, and huge thanks to Art for Guernsey for giving her this wonderful opportunity.
