Blanchelande's new Nursery takes every advantage of the school's stunning rural setting - we promise that the children will have had lots of outdoor exercise by the end of their day with us! They will also benefit from being in a class of fourteen or under, with caring and dedicated staff watching over them. Children can start at our Nursery once they are 2½ and if they are under four at the start of the school year. Although places are limited, it may be possible for children over 2½ to start with us at various times throughout the school year.

Our Nursery opens its doors for the first time in September 2021, with a brand-new playroom filled with the best quality wooden furniture supplied by Community Playthings.

However, the most important spaces for our Nursery children will be the acres of forests and fields that they will be exploring on a daily basis, as they are immersed in the beauty of the natural world.

Features of our Nursery include:

  • A focus on nature: Muddy Monday, Welly Wednesday and Forest Friday!
  • Music taught by a specialist
  • French songs and vocabulary
  • Lots of sporting opportunities, including tennis
  • Use of outdoor activity field and newly renovated Infant playground with climbing apparatus, overlooked only by the local herd of Guernsey cattle!
  • Cookery
  • Library sessions with books to take home
  • Newly renovated Rosaire Hall adjacent to the Nursery playroom
  • A daily cooked lunch included in the daily fee
  • Classroom with dedicated outside Early Years area
  • High staff to pupil ratio
  • Benefit from the Blanchelande family ethos from the very start of your child's education
