Nursery Admissions
We welcome children to start their Blanchelande journey from age two and a half. Although Nursery admissions places are limited, it may be possible for other children under four to start with us during the school year.
Meetings and Tours
The Head of Infants and the Nursery Manager meet with every family who would like to join our school. This provides us with an opportunity to learn more about your child as an individual and for you to ask questions. These meetings take place throughout the year and can be booked at your convenience with our Registrar, Sonia Hollowell. We invite you to have a 1:1 tour to give you an insight into life at Blanchelande and see both the Nursery and wider school in action at any time. There is also the opportunity to discuss the College more widely with the Principal.
‘Settling in’ sessions
Children hoping to join our Nursery department are invited for several ‘Come and Play’ sessions with their parent. This allows the children to become familiar with the Nursery and for the Nursery team to meet them. Please note that an offer can only be made to families once they have completed the registration process.
Open Day
For current or prospective families, there is no better opportunity to see the whole school (Nursery to Sixth Form) in action at our annual College Open day which takes place on the last Saturday of September each year. You will be offered a tour to meet your interests, led by one of our senior school students.
Moving up through the school
Children who join our Nursery department naturally transition through to our Infant, Junior and Senior departments without any further entrance assessments or registration fees.
